For nearly four decades, Gangapurna Academy has stood as a beacon of academic rigor and character education in the western region of Nepal.
From a pioneering classroom to Pokhara’s premier academy
Gangapurna Academy was founded in 1988 by visionary educators who recognized the need for an institution in Pokhara that offered world-class English-medium education without severing ties to Nepali heritage and ethical values.
Over the decades, the academy has expanded into a comprehensive academic institution spanning modern science labs, computer suites, expansive sports fields, and residential hostels, while maintaining its hallmark warmth and disciplined approach.

Narayan Prasad Sharma

Principal since 2019. Joined the academy as a physics teacher in 2008, and still coaches the senior football squad on Friday afternoons.

Classes commenced with 60 students and five teachers under founding principal B.K. Shrestha.

First SLC Distinction Cohort
Our first batch of SLC candidates achieved 100% first division, establishing our academic pedigree in Gandaki.

Inauguration of Science & Sports Complex
