Terms of service

These terms apply when your school buys a website from school@web. Plain language is deliberate: you should not need a lawyer to understand what you are paying for.

What we provide

Design, build and launch of your school website using a design from our gallery, rebranded with your school’s name, colours, logo and content. Then hosting, your digital and printable Nepali calendar, automatic festival and event posts, automatic birthday posts, an admin panel for your staff, and support.

What it costs

Rs. 10,000 a year, paid once a year, and that is the whole cost. There is no setup fee, no charge per page and no fee for ordinary content changes. If work falls outside what is included, we will tell you the cost before we start it — you will never receive a bill you did not agree to.

Launch offer. While it runs, the first 3 schools to join pay nothing for their first year, schools 4 to 50 pay Rs. 5,000 for their first year, and schools joining after the first 50 pay Rs. 7,000 for their first year. These are first-year prices only. Every school renews at Rs. 10,000 a year. No setup fee, ever. Your place in the order is confirmed to you in writing before you pay anything.

What support covers

Included in your yearly plan:

• Hosting, security updates and keeping the site online.
• Help using the admin panel, over WhatsApp during working hours.
• Fixing anything that is broken on our side.
• Reasonable content updates if you would rather we made them.

Quoted separately, because these are new work rather than upkeep:

• New page types or features that do not exist in your design.
• Custom design work beyond changing your colours, logo and content.
• Migrating a large existing site, or bulk data entry.

What you provide

Your logo, your photographs, and your written content — and confirmation that you have the right to publish them. We do not supply photographs of your school, and we cannot check whether an image you send us is licensed.

Student data

If you use the birthday feature, you confirm you have the right to share students’ names and dates of birth with us and to publish their names, including any parental consent required. You can delete this data at any time. See the privacy policy.

Who owns what

Yours:your content, your photographs, your school’s name and marks, and your domain. Always, including after you leave.

Ours: the platform, the designs and the underlying code. You are licensed to use them while your plan is active; you are not buying the template itself.

Your domain

Your domain is registered in your school’s name, not ours. If you leave, you keep it and we help you point it elsewhere. We will never hold a school’s domain to encourage it to stay.

Leaving

Your plan runs for a year at a time. You can tell us at any point that you do not want to renew, and nothing renews without you agreeing to it. When you leave we export your content and hand over your domain. You lose the hosting, the automation and the support — not your work. A yearly fee already paid is not refundable once the site is live.

Uptime and liability

We aim to keep your site online at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Suspension

We may pause a site for unpaid fees after written notice, or immediately for illegal content or content that endangers a child. We will always tell you why.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.
