Forty parents and one honest conversation: what works, what does not, and why the same words at home and at school matter most.
More than forty parents joined our workshop on toilet training, led by our Playgroup and Nursery teachers. The short version: watch for readiness rather than a birthday, use the same words at home and at school, dress children in clothes they can pull down themselves, and treat accidents as nothing at all. Most children are dry in the day somewhere between two and three and a half — and all of them get there. Our next workshop, on getting ready for Grade 1, is next term. Parents of UKG children are especially welcome.
