Our approach

How we teach

Study hours

Supervised, in house, every evening

Boarders and day students alike sit two supervised hours in their house from Grade 8. A senior mentor is in the room. Nobody works alone in a bedroom.

Responsibility

Every senior looks after a junior

From Grade 11, each student takes a tutor group of four juniors: reading their reports, sitting with them at study hour, and answering for them at house meeting.

Questions

Academic FAQs

What curriculum do you follow?

The CDC national curriculum to the SEE, then NEB Science and Management in Grades 11 and 12. Nepali, English and mathematics are set in ability groups from Grade 6.

What are house study hours?

Two supervised hours every weekday evening from Grade 8, sat in house with a senior mentor present. Boarders and day students both attend.

Can day students take part in everything?

Yes. Day students belong to a house, sit study hours, attend the Saturday programme and stand for prefectship on exactly the same terms as boarders.
